Charlie Wambeke on south Tufa trail Mono Lake eastern California 20110924-162436 C4
Anita took this photo of me as we both made our way from the parking lot toward Mono Lake at south Tufa. You can see the lake and mountains behind me. The bushes with yellow flowers are turpentine bushes or brush and were quite prolific in the area. You can see a photo of a cluster of bees on top of turpentine brush a few slides past this one. This was the beginning of our first exposure to Mono Lake on our first afternoon in the area in eastern California - 300 miles from our homes in San Francisco to the west.
Anita captured this image of me using my Canon EOS 60D camera.
