Pothole Dome that mother and son were climbing Yosemite National Park California USA 20110924-133606 C4A

Captured this image of Pothole Dome from Tuolumne Meadows in California's Yosemite National Park. The mother and son climbers were located on the rock between the gap in the trees to the left. Pothole Dome looks ominous but is a class one climb, especially if one follows the trail rather than scampering up the side. This was one of the few breaks Anita and I took on our way from where we stayed in Sonora California to our final destination of Mono Lake in Lee Vining at the farthest east border of California. At this point in the trip we were ready to reach Tioga Pass and travel down the mountain to our final destination.

Image captured with Canon EOS 60D.
