Charlie and Anita posing for tripod Mono Lake south Tufa trail 20110924-162515 C4
Captured this image with the help of our friend Tri Pod who kept my Canon EOS 60D steadily pointing toward Mono Lake on the south Tufa Trail for this image of my neighbor and photography friend, Anita, and me almost exactly one hour after we first saw Mono Lake while first descending into the town of Lee Vining. We had then quickly checked into our rooms so we could get out and about before nightfall. The yellow foliage behind us is turpentine bush - or brush. You can also see these types of bushes in the next slide with one filled with a cluster of bees in the slide following that. You can see Mono Lake and the mountains toward the west behind us. Though we were tired from two days of travel, we were very relaxed and happy to be in such a beautiful place.
