On the second day in Lee Vining California, after breakfast, we headed north on U.S. Hwy 395 and State Route 270 and toward Bodie after breakfast. We stopped to capture this image of the landscape and wispy clouds not too far from the entrance to Bodie ghost town State Historic Park in eastern California. You can see the desert terrain in the foreground and the mountains to the west. This area is high desert with elevations exceeding 8,300 feet.
