This information sign commenting on the Great Basin Desert is located above California State Route 395 and a view of Mono Lake and the Western most edge of the Great Basin. Notice it has a sketch of Mono Lake and the mountains beyond the lake. You can see everything in this sketch in the previous and following photo of Mono Lake area taken during Anita and my short 3 day visit.
