Double Rainbow over Mono Lake as seen from Lee Vining California 20110925-175300 C4B
This is the first of a series of Double Rainbow images in a series of four chosen to publish here on Flickr from the many taken within an hour or so one rainy night on a 2011 trip to Mono Lake. It was late September and the we saw all types of weather. This was the only day it rained - a bit unusual I guess for desert. The main rainbow and secondary rainbow are muted in this by the dark clouds and rain in this image, creating an eerie sight. You can see Negit Island and Poaha Island in this image. I used my Canon EOS 60D for this and the following three slides of rainbow images.
