Eastern horizon as seen from shore of Mono Lake near Navy Beach. It was 6:29 AM and very cold - at least for San Franciscans. I was carrying two Canon cameras and shot this with my EOS 60D. Most photography instructors will say morning and evening shots are the best. When you get to my age, there are many more opportunities for evening shots. We made special effort to get to Mono Lake before sunrise on this particular day. It was worth the effort and braving the near freezing temperatures.
