Captured this image in the gardens of the Bourn-Roth Estate, better known as Filoli, in Woodside California 30 miles south of San Francisco. Upon entering the gardens I had decided to shoot many of the roses and other flowers from the back or from underneath to both capture the light flowing through the petals and to avoid some of the imperfections due to the lateness of the growing season.
Seemed to work nicely for this shot.
