Dear Laney

It's really good to hear from you! I've been worried about you. No worries about Thanksgiving. I know you had to go back to settle everything and get back to school.

 

I was disappointed that Logan couldn't make it here but I understood as well. I'm sure he'll be here by the end of the year so that's a good thing. It's a bit lonely around here but someone needed to check on the old homestead here. I wish at least Autumn would come home but I know she's having trouble adjusting to the parent's disappearance. That's what comes from being the eldest...having to grow up even when you don't want to. At least I can disappear into my music.

 

You know I want to hear all about it and you know that you can call any time of the day or night. I'm honored that you instinctually know that you can trust me and yes, I've been trying to look out for you too. I consider you as much of a sister as I do Autumn, Lily and the kids.

 

I figured that you needed some time to process what's happened and I know how hard it is to go through. I guess in our case it's a bit easier since we have some hope still.
