965k Solar panel estimated financial returns

Today I called in to see a customer of mine who has recently had solar panels fitted. She's lent me some of her installations blurb including this page which shows expected returns on the investment.

Sorry part of it is unreadable. I used flash and it "whited out" part of the text.

Some points of interest. The panels are expected to lose about 1% of their efficiency each year over 20 years... so be about 80% efficient by then .

They've estimated that the cost of electricity will rise from 14.38p per kwh to 25.22p over 20 years (3% per annum)

Total expected yearly income based on a purchase price of £2300 is £297 in year 1 rising to £645 in year 20 making a total over the expected life of the system of £8800

Payback time is estimated at 7 years
