The second rebuilt Merchant Navy to emerge from Eastleigh works, standing here coupled to the ex-GWR Dynometer car prior to working atest train to Exeter. Earlier the first rebuild, 35018, worked the down Atlantic Coast Express
Built Eastleigh and entered service as 21C20 June 1945. Renumbered 35020 during May 1948, rebuild date at Eastleigh was April 1956. 35020 was used for the test trials in preference to 35018. Withdrawn from service during February 1965 and cut up shortly afterwards. Final mileage 981,479
