34019 BIDEFORD Brighton 11 May 1963

Taken for a viewpoint in Howard Place which required scaling a six fleet flint wall and balancing my elbows and camera on the top. Wobetide any intrepid spotter who when over the top, there is a sheer drop to the carriage sidings alongside platform 1. All along the wall was a good spotting point, if you could stay balanced there. In the bacground is Brighton Loco Works

Taken from an original Isopan ISS 6x6 negative 1/300 f1

Built at Brighton as Southern Railway 21C119 entered service December 1945, renumbered 34019 May 1948, withdrawn March 1967
