Scrawled filefish, Grand Cayman, 1998
Scan from an old slide.
I took these slides with crummy underwater cameras in the pre-digital days. After I scanned these, I realized how truly poor these cameras were, although they cost $300 in the 1980s and 1990s. Cameras were Hanimex and Motor Marine MX-10. The shots here are the few (out of many) that are of any value to post. I was "born again" when I acquired my first digital camera in 2002 and finally was able to get the kind of shots I had long wanted to take. It still amazes me how much better digital cameras are than film, especially for underwater.
