Banded tulip shell, Panama City Beach, Florida
Amongst the turtle grass in St. Andrew Bay near Shell Island. Unlike virtually every other shell here, this one was not occupied by a hermit crab. Species name Fasiolaria hunteria. This shell now sits on my mantle at home.
