Dutch soldier custom...
A vintage Gi.joe in a custom made uniform of a Dutch soldier from the late 30's, early 40's. As you can see they still had the gaiters, old fashion stand up collar (this one guy has made it a bit more comfortable for himself though ;) and to be frank; outdated weapons and equipment. On top of that the poor guys had the silly Italian styled helmet, wich was called; de tien gulden helm (the ten gilders helmet) beacause it was cheap and so the government ordered lots of them. During the German occupation the Nazi's used a bunch of these helmets for Romanian 'volunteers'. Some of these have been found on the Russian battlefields. Somethimes with the Dutch Lion decal still on it, though they usually removed this for another one.
