Did You See The Fireworks?
Anytime a "regular" locomotive can replace a trackmobile, there is cause for celebration! GE's Munster Distribution warehouse needed a "real" locomotive for switching all those 60' Railbox boxcars full of applicances, their 20 year old Shuttlewagon was getting tired. GMTX SW1500 149 has replaced the tractor which will stay on in reserve...for the time being.
SW1500's always looked to me like they were suspended above their trucks, as you can see in this view.
