blue jean denim round coiled mat

This coiled mat was made for a challenge from the Upcyclers Team on Etsy. Participants were to upcycle the suggested material for the month in any way they choose. This month's item to upcycle was an old pair of jeans. It was much more challenging to coil the strips around the cord and sew on my machine than the lighter weight cotton that I normally use. I love how it turned out, but I'm not sure that I'll try any more of these with denim.
