Shanklin Chine. A cleft in the cliffs, cut by a stream wending its way to the sea. It has created a little microcosm of a lush environment. For an admission fee you can walk down through with a sense of discovering a little Shangri-La, eventually coming to the sea. Apparently it was taken over by the Royal Marine Commando during WW2 for training purposes.
