Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP

A few weeks ago, while clearing out the attic, we came across a box of old newspaper clippings, probably the work of a long-departed aunt who was renowned for her hoarding habits. Among the yellowed pages was a dossier on the Lunar Landing in 1969, which provoked the usual "What were you doing when..." sort of discussion. Among other things, I recalled I'd just become the owner of a new-fangled Pentax Spotmatic, not new but a source of some pride. As it turns out, I still have the camera, and this is it, somewhat faded and worn but still functional; it was commandeered by one of my sons and disappeared for a decade or so, but he eventually fell in love with an EOS and had the decency to return the Spotmatic to his old man. I occasionally borrow it's lens to use on digital cameras, but it spends it's retirement on a shelf with several Pentax cousins.
