A Touching Story Is Touched Up

A local artist conducts routine maintenance on an aging mural in Silverton, Oregon. For as small as Silverton is the amount of, and the artistic quality of, colorful murals in this town is impressive. I counted at least 21 but I have a feeling there might be more. This particular mural is the “Bobby the Wonder Dog” mural. You can read more about it here:

Basically, it honors a dog (Scotch Collie/English Shepherd mix) that lived in the 1920’s. The story explains how he travelled all the way from Indiana back to Silverton to find his master again.
