IMG_6210 - "Didgie" Enjoying A Feed With Rosey . . .
Rosey and I were invited by our good friend, Kelly, to visit and help with the feeding of disadvantaged Joeys (or baby kangaroos). These have been injured in some way and need rehabilitation before being let loose in the wild. At present there are around 8 joeys being hand-reared with a special mixture designed for young joeys to bring them up to good health and strength as quickly as possible. "Didgie" got the name from having a digit removed from his front paw. This does not seem to have affected the movement of this joey and as you can see from this picture, totally relaxed as Rosey sees to it that the bottle is in the right place and "Didgie" has a comfortable resting place!! The other joeys have been fed - this one is taking the longest and enjoyment is total . . .
