BCA Pool Of Hope Charity
The Gardens of Absentia BCA Pool of Hope Charity would like to thank everyone for their generous donations, time, gifts, participation, creativity, enthusiasm and motivation to help us achieve our goals. None of this is possible without the amazing support of the Second Life community.
Your contributions to the BCA Pool of Hope will benefit the efforts of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation uses these funds for breast cancer research and community-based breast health and education programs, decreasing breast cancer incidence and mortality.
The 2010 BCA Pool of Hope Charity raised over L$ 1.025 million which occurred July 24th through October 10th. The events started with the BCA Music Festival with approximate donations of L$ 82,600, BCA Date Auction L$ 649,950, BCA Art Auction with L$190,000 and BCA Fair for a Pair with L$ 72,500.
A special thank you to our sponsors Giancarlo Takacs of Costa Rica Sims, Frolic Mills of BOSL, Maddox DuPont of KMADD Enterprise, and Gooden Ugla of Nuki-Nuki Beach. Our spectacular event directors Samantha Ohrberg (Costa Rica Sims) and Sennaspirt Coronet (Art Auction) for their talent, dedication and moral support and countless others that gave their time freely to support these activities.
