L'Anse Sub Raison d'être
The Warner Power plant, foreground, and the Certain Teed ceiling tile plant are the Raison d'être for Canadian National's L'Anse Subdivision. On November 29, 2021, there were a fair number of cars in the yard, including high-side gondolas used to carry scrap railroad ties, and a handful of covered hoppers. The line is still in place to the north end of Baraga, but as far as I know service has been discontinued north of L'Anse.
