Official Opening of Kaga Corner/Park in Dundas
To celebrate the 30th anniversary (1968-1998) of the twinning of Kaga Japan and Dundas Canada, a delegation of adults came from Kaga Japan to Dundas in August 1998 and a parkette in Dundas at the corner of King St. and York Rd. was created and called Kaga Corner (or Kaga Park).
Mayor John Addison (then Mayor of Dundas) is seen standing on the right side about to officially open the parkette. This was before the Town of Dundas was amalgamated with the City of Hamilton (which occurred on January 1, 2001).
