Cedar Waxwings eating Hawthorn Berries

A large flock of Cedar Waxwings has been roosting in the bare branches of an oak tree visible from my back windows in Dunbar (Vancouver). I discovered today that the attraction is a trio of Hawthorn trees on the boulevard. They were flying in shifts down from their perch in the Oak to gorge on the berries of the Hawthorn. For some reason they prefer these to the Mountain Ash berries and Holly berries that they could find in my back yard. (The robins seem to love only the Holly berries).
