Blue Heron Bathing (Series)
This series of pictures is of a Great Blue Heron taking a bath in the pond at Jericho Park, Vancouver, June 3, 2009, a hot and sunny day. It is standing on the bottom of the pond and here looks like some exotic species of duck. I have not seen a heron immersed so deep in the water before. He was clearly enjoying himself.
