raw_DxO Outback Man & the Eclipsed Moon with border_DxO then onOne
This compilation was originally presented in B&W. Today, I took it into LR and then used onOne Texturizer - Macarthur. I lightened it a bit around the eyes b/c I thought the colour was a better representation of the people who first inhabited these lands.
Last Easter, my husband and I went on a trip to Broken Hill where I snapped the shots. The moon pic was taken just after the eclipse on 15 April 2014. The sky was taken on a night shoot right in the town. The face is made up of several pics I took whilst we were on an 8.5 hour scenic flight which took us into South Australia, over the Channel Country, Katai-Tanda Lake Eyre, Cameron's Corner, and Mundi Mundi Plains before returning to Broken Hill.
The eyebrows were taken from a cliff side. The outline for the face was already visible in a landscape I captured, whilst the fly was on the pilot's shirt when we stopped for lunch at Cameron's Corner. (Must include the Aussie icon, namely fly.) The eyes, mouth, and moustache were parts of Lake Eyre, known as Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre since December 2012..
