Theme of the picture: My favourite Blythe
If I really think about it, I guess my favourite Blythe would still be Kurt aka the Madmoiselle Rosebud: she's my first one, my faithful travelling companion (together with Yoghi), the one I had the most time to bond with and also the one who started the German-like boyish name for my dolls.
Those in the pictures, though, occupy a very special place in my heart and are the only ones who do not agree with such name-rule, because they are the Showa-Era inspired dolls and I felt like it was right to give them a Showa-Era-inspired name.
The little Petites are Shiro [四郎] and Goro [五郎], which respectively mean Fourth and Fifth as male names for the fourth and fifth son in the house (as it was typical of that time), given that they were my fourth and fifth Petite. Miss Sally Rice is Tomo, or Tomoko [智, 智子], which was the most popular name for girls in the year Ro was born (since she was hers first) and can be considered as a male name anyway (as Tomo) but can also be read as Satoshi, which is one of my favourite name for boys in Japanese ever.
In Italian for my Italian friends:
Pensandoci, probabilmente la mia Blythe preferita resta sempre Kurt, ovvero la Madmoiselle Rosebud: è la mia prima in assoluto, è la mia fedele compagna di viaggio (assieme all'orso Yoghi), quella con cui ho avuto più tempo per creare un legame, ma soprattutto quella che ha dato inizio al trend di nomi pseudo teutonici da ragazzo per le mie bambole.
Le bambole nella foto, però, occupano un posto speciale nel mio cuore e sono le uniche che contravvengono a questa regola, visto che sono le Blythe ispirate all'epoca Showa e ho pensato che fosse solo giusto dar loro un nome che fosse legato all'epoca Showa.
Le piccole Petite sono Shiro [四郎] e Goro [五郎], che rispettivamente significano Quarto e Quinto come nomi di persona per il quarto e il quinto figlio di casa (come era tipico dell'epoca), visto che sono le mie Petite numero quattro e numero cinque.
Miss Sally Rice è Tomo, o Tomoko [智, 智子], che è stato il nome per ragazza più popolare nell'anno in cui è nata Ro (dato che Miss Sally Rice prima apparteneva a lei) ma che può anche essere considerato come un nome da ragazzo (Tomo) e letto alternativamente come Satoshi, che è uno dei miei nomi giapponesi maschili preferiti di sempre.
