Couplers
AZL couplers on my GN GP30s. Note that the tab that holds the coupler level on the loco on the left is seated correctly, thus making the coupler level and at the right height. By comparison, the same tab on the loco on the right is not seated correctly, and is bending the coupler assembly slightly. When the loco is upright, this causes the coupler to hang low in the space between tracks, and sticks on any high spots in that space, such as when going through a switch.
