A penny saved is a penny earned.
This may not look like much, but twice now I have stood at Benjamin Franklin’s grave side. If you have been to Philly you will know this means looking through a fence with other people standing or kneeling beside you. Not much to see, but Ben Franklin was one heck of a guy.
Many, many years ago I started to read The Autobiography of Ben Franklin. I though it was good but never finished it. Years later I decided I really wanted to read and finish the book. I have enjoyed looking for the book ever since, something to look for at any garage sale or Goodwill store.
Well, in Philly this past month I found, Ben Franklin; America’s original entrepreneur; Franklin’s autobiography adapted for modern times. How could I go wrong? I bought it. For the record, two of Ben’s saying are “snug as a bug in a rug” (one of my favorite sayings) and “A penny saved is a penny earned.”
