This is what happens to our weedy friend when she gets just what she wants, just when she wants it. The biggest Cyperus congestus that I've ever seen. It is growing in inter-tidal, brackish, swampy ground. Height of stem about 50 cm, sharply 3-angled stem of width about 4mm, length of spikelet about 35 mm, seeds about 1.5 mm, bract about 20 cm.
