Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery
Taken from across the Detroit River on Belle Isle, Hiram Walker & Sons has the largest distilling capacity in North America. This building dates back to the early 1900''s. Hiram Walker was a native of Detroit Michigan although he built his empire across the river in Canada. His rivals in the United States said that he had a secret pipeline that ran underwater from his distillery to a warehouse somewhere on the Detroit riverfront. Along with Canadian Club whiskey that is produced here, the distillery also produces J. P. Wiser, Lot 40, Pike Creek, Gooderham & Worts, and Polar Ice Vodka.
