Old San Juan
While on our Eastern Caribbean cruise a couple of years ago, we were scheduled to port in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. As fate would have it, a late-season tropical storm, Olga, was right in our path and led our ship to port in San Juan, Puerto Rico, instead. Thus, rather than playing a nice round of golf on a beautiful oceanside course on St. Thomas, I ended up exploring old Spanish forts instead.
