yew in Tandridge

The yew in Tandridge, Surrey, England.

Such a beautiful tree, so old, she might be 4000 yrs. (a female yew)

She has a girth of more than 9 meters!

A very special energy at this quiet place.

At the back she is hollow.

Yews regenerate themselves by letting their branches "drop" after many many years and where the branch touches the earth a new tree will come up.

A good book: The Sacred Yew: Rediscovering the Ancient Tree of Life Through the Work of Allen Meredith
