Nach der Volkszählung von 2011 hatte die Insel 115.490 Einwohner. Davon lebt fast die Hälfte in der Stadt Rhodos, dem Hauptort und touristischen Zentrum im Norden. Die Einwohner heißen Rhodier.
At around 1,401 square kilometers, Rhodes is the fourth largest island in Greece in terms of area, but the third largest in terms of population and the main island of the Dodekanes in der Südost-Ägäis.According to the 2011 census, the island had 115,490 inhabitants. Almost half of these live in the town of Rhodes, the main town and tourist center in the north. The inhabitants are called Rhodians.
