KOPP SPREADLIGHT HORNI mfg
No matter the type, these are SPREADLIGHT.
However KOPP makes this pattern with WIDELIGHT cast on the rim legend as well as casted with SPREADLIGHT .
I believe another example I have seen is WAVELIGHT but only
one example .
This KOPP HORNI attributed SPREADLIGHT 8 3/8 went healthy ,
While not Railroad it does show similar Spreadlight type lenses I would say the earliest of Spreadlight is the "WIDELIGHT" version and while any brand name cast with the legend on the back of a lens the type is still Spreadlight,
SPREDLITE , WIDELIGHT and possibly WAVELIGHT.
While the WIDELIGHT brand by KOPP certainly is used in many locomotive class lamps and marker lamps and switch lamps many being used in Armspear mfgr lamps.
Both type of Spreadlight are found in early 1920s beacons and traffic lights and highway lighthouses .
