Mechanical interlocking pipeline stand
I'm favoring White Vinegar baths once again in cast iron restorations, while both CLR and Evaporust did an ok job i think it was actually me in periodic scrub downs with assorted wire brushes that got the results .
Today the stand got immersed in White Vinegar with scrub downs and actually saw how clean right down to the gray cast iron that started to appear .
Either the crud finally started to yield after CLR and switching
to Evaporust baths but seemed still faster with White Vinegar
with the same amount of elbow work .
Still nowhere clean as I want it but the other stand is now in White Vinegar . later, this stand will have another three
gallons of fresh clean White Vinegar to set in and i think will completely remove all the rust still present .
While I'd love to get the sandblaster up and running, manual labor in rust removal does insure I wont fry my dainty compressor, its rated air capacity is just good enough for finishing work and not a total strip down, not to mention I'm still setting up the new sandblast cabinet.
