GRS latch shoes
Not that i physically seen latch shoes in person but in images
i have seen a good number of cracked latch shoes from collectors my treatment of these was done with uber cautiousness their removal was well after consecutive days of hitting them with PB blaster and slowly taking the bolts out little by little . the shoes were tapped out only with a wood dowel one end till movement then worked the opposite end and repeated till the shoes were removed .
I still think this part is pretty fragile second to the springs whether the springs bottom fills with debris aiding in rotting springs .
