Latino Style Wall Murals Series
One of the noticeable differences between Mexican Muralism and Chicano Muralism is the idea of the team approach. Mexican Muralist teams often consisted of skilled artist directed by one main artist exemplary of the way Diego Rivera worked.
Chicano Muralism abondoned this and became community based. Often, a team of muralist includes people who are untrained artist and themes of the mural are not decided by one artist, but rather by local community. This new development of creating murals as a community also negates the individual and elitist artist who often works alone.
