The Colors of Fall in the Adirondacks, Velvia Film HDR Version

When I shooting from this ledge, I ensured that I had bracketed the shots. I wanted to make sure I had the correct exposure since this was slide film. The first shot was correct, but I still had a darker and a lighter slide....I had an idea.....

HDR!!

I've only seen one other film HDR on flickr, but I'm sure there must be others.

So basically, this is 3 shots of Velvia 50, with a +1/-1 EV.

After scanning the three shots with my epson scanner, I had to use Enblend/Align from the Hugin pack to fuse the images into a tiff file. I used QTPFSGUI to open the tiff and create a Mantiuk image using 0 saturation and 0.001 contrast mapping layer. The other layer was a Rienhart 02 layer with the setting below. Merged in GIMP and a bump in saturation because of the grayness of the Mantiuk layer.

Qtpfsgui 1.9.2 tonemapping parameters:

Operator: Reinhard02

Parameters:

Key: 0.18

Phi: 1

------

PreGamma: 1
