PRO SOFTBALL HISTORY
1980 CLEVELAND STEPIEN'S COMPETITORS NASL program
Cleveland finished second with a 28-31 record, 3 games behind the Detroit Auto Kings. Cleveland had the NASL home run leader with Benny Holt who hit 42 with 95 RBI and batted .533 plus Dana Andry with 34 home runs and still another star player in Jim Bizzell. The Cleveland program was much better than the other teams, I guess it didn't hurt to have the owner (Ted Stepien) also be the league president.
