Cool Blue In The Morning Mist ©

Today is the first time I have seen one of these beautiful Sweat Bees AND had a camera handy. It has the most outstanding metallic, iridescent turquoise colors. She has bellied up to the bar and is standing on tippy toes, with her 'hind' feet in two different blossoms, and her wings neatly folded over her back. :) Experts have confirmed that this is a female.

I am not so fond of our stinging insects after today. I was soundly stung by two aggressive "Paper Wasps" this morning. My husband must have thought I had a racoon hooked on my leg for all the screaming, LOL. The wasp nest was behind some Jasmine vines, and I was unwinding some from a small tree and tucking them back against the house with the rest, not seeing the nest. Arrgh! Well, I paid, then they paid...
