Shell Pool Locos 37706 “Conidae” and 37431 “Bullidae” at Healey Mills
English Electric Vulcan 37706 "Conidae" and 37431 "Bullidae" are photographed passing through Healey Mills with 6M54 the Shell empty tanks returning to Stanlow from Hunslet East. 37706 wears BR two tone grey with petroleum sector markings; 37431 has BR Inter-City livery. The pair were seen regularly on this working in 1991. The normal practice was for a Stanlow driver to bring the train into Healey Mills from where a Horbury based driver would then take the train into Leeds to be offloaded. There would then be a similar change-over on the return journey. 37706 is still in service today with the West Coast Railway, 37431 was scrapped in 2000.
