Almost "End of the Line" for 20016 and 20081 at Rest at Arpley Junction, Warrington

33 years ago I found myself at Arpley Junction, Warrington where I managed to photograph this pair of 20's between their regular MGR runs between Parkside Colliery, Newton-le-Willows and Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, Warrington. Parkside Colliery was the last working pit in the Lancashire Coalfield and its closure in October 1992 brought an end to coal mining in the area that had stretched back 700 years.
