CP and CN Winter Scene, Fraser River
This shot was taken at a location close to the Alexander Bridge. I wanted to get a shot that showed the vastness of the landscape in comparison to the railroad tracks running either side of the Fraser River. The ladies at the Station Diner in North Bend were kind enough to provide details of the trains when I called in for lunch, which are:- On the Southern (left) bank heading West is a Canadian Pacific loaded coal working with 9654 up front (and 9682 out of shot Mid-Train). The train coming towards the camera on the Northern bank is a Canadian National working from Thornton Yard (Surrey) to Edmonton with CN 5687 on point supported by CN 5297.
