CSX Exists Norfolk Southern’s Natural Tunnel in Duffield, Va.
This is a location that I always wanted to visit. Having spoken with some of the Norfolk Southern guys at Fresno earlier I was told that there would be just the one train through the tunnel today, which I was luckily enough to capture. Natural Tunnel State Park is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Kingsport, Tennessee and the trackage was originally part of Southern Railway’s route between Bluefield, West Virginia and Knoxville, Tennessee.
