EWS Northbound over Ribblehead - Taken from the Summit of Ingleborough

The light in this part of the world can be spectacular. It can also be unbelievably frustrating. Having climbed (well more like walked) to the summit of Ingleborough the objective was to capture a train on the viaduct in sunlight. I sat there for 3 hours, during which time I had "light on viaduct and no train", "train on viaduct and no light" and "no train on viaduct and no light as well". Not a great shot, but after a 5 hour round trip walk and 3 hours at the summit I wasn't coming home empty handed. This shot of an EWS empty coal working heading north was the best of the bunch.
