EWS 66 Northbound Over Arten Gill

Certainly not the usual shot of the famous viaduct and one that requires quite a hike. Taken from above the viaduct's north side the shot shows an EWS class 66 with a MGR working, most likely the Milford Sidings to Ayr return empties. The snow fences erected by the Midland Railway in the 1870's have almost succumbed to the elements and it will have been some time since the platelayers hut would have seen any activity.
