Canadian National Freighter at Pitquah, BC

Photographed in a stretch of the railroad sometimes also referred to as Morris, a Canadian National mixed merchandise train snakes around the Thompson river 5 miles east of Lytton with CN #5719 on point.

The name Pitquah originates from the Thompson Indian word meaning "Little Spring". An old Canadian National Railroad file on station names perhaps provides a more graphic account, "When it rains the spring water up above increases, causing disaster".
