Union Pacific Race at Sullivan’s Curve, Cajon, California

In rapidly fading light a UP Ballast train and a Mixed consist race each other up grade a half mile or so East of Sullivan's Curve. I assume that the Mixed consist was given priority as the Ballast train clearly had more pulling power.
